Since the early '90s I’ve voted outside the box when it comes to Presidents. Ross Perot, Ralph Nader, Ron Paul and Gary Johnson. Unfortunately, it looks as if the kiss of death (my vote) is about to kill another candidate.
But unlike last election, I’m not 100% invested because I know this person isn’t going to be the chosen one. Even though this person can beat Donald Trump, she’s a secret weapon for Democrats that will never be used to win.
Getting the corruption out of politics has always been the backbone of my vote. Issues are very important, but integrity and honor mean more to me. Nobody I’ve voted for has ever won, and I’m proud of that!
The democrats have a secret weapon, so you must ask yourself… “Why?” Why won’t Democrats invest 100% into this person? What’s holding them back? Why are other Democrats trashing her? Why has the left leaning news gone out their way to avoid her and even smear her?
Let’s Start By Establishing Why She’s a Secret Weapon.
1: Tulsi Gabbard is a Minority.
She’s the first and only Samoan American member to serve Congress. Being a minority isn’t a qualification, but it has been a disqualification in the past. Don’t we want to continue proving we’ve gotten past that?
2: Tulsi is a Veteran.
In April 2003, while serving in the State Legislature, Gabbard enlisted in the Hawaii Army National Guard. In July 2004, she was deployed for a 12-month tour in Iraq, serving as a specialist with the Medical Company, 29th Support Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, where she worked in patient administration. In Iraq, Gabbard served at Logistical Support Area Anaconda, completing her tour in 2005.
In March 2007, she graduated from the Accelerated Officer Candidate School at the Alabama Military Academy. Gabbard was the first woman to finish as the Distinguished Honor graduate in the Academy's 50-year history. She was commissioned as a second lieutenant and assigned to the 29th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Hawaii Army National Guard, this time to serve as an Army Military Police officer. She was deployed to Kuwait from 2008 to 2009.
Gabbard is a recipient of the Combat Medical Badge and the Meritorious Service Medal. On October 12, 2015, she was promoted from captain to major at a ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. She continues to serve as a major in the Hawaii Army National Guard.
3: Tulsi is a Woman.
I don’t need to elaborate. Isn’t it obvious? America is ready to say, “Madam President”.
4: Tulsi is left on Every Issue. Learn more about her here…
She’s so left, she backed Sanders in 2016.
5: Tulsi Gabbard is Against Pointless Wars
Remember when this was the main talking point of all liberals? Now it seems to be a negative. I guess there’s so much money in war, even liberals believe in it now. Sadly, her approach to foreign policy put her outside many in the Democratic mainstream.
6: She Has Fox News in Her Back Pocket
Oddly, the establishment see’s this as a negative. The mentality of team politics is evident, which is an extremely flawed mentality. Why wouldn’t they want someone who can extend themselves in a likeable manner to a news organization they see as the enemy? She’s reaching Republicans! Isn’t that what you want? Which leads me to this…
7: She Pulls in Republicans, Independents and Libertarians.
This is more important than anything else. Tulsi Gabbard will get every single vote from Democrats if she becomes the nominee. The goal is winning. It’s to beat Donald Trump at any cost. With that said, any of the candidates running will get every single vote from democrats if chosen.
Republican Vote: What makes Tulsi stand out is that she’s the Democrat darling of the Republican party. There hasn’t been a Democrat since Joe Liberman that Republicans secretly like more.
Tulsi Gabbard will pull in a shit ton of Republican votes, and more than I suspect people realize. Who else standing on that stage can do this? Nobody! Not even the former Republican Elizabeth Warren.
Libertarian Vote: I consider myself more Libertarian than anything, yet I find myself pulling for Tulsi Gabbard. It’s one issue that I find to be the most important that she’s strong on. Foreign Policy. If you remember at the beginning of this, I said my vote is based on honor and integrity. Issues come 2nd with me. Sorry, what can I say? I want a president I trust 100%. There's other Libertarians feeling the same way. Gabbard will get Libertarian votes.
Independent Vote: That leaves the Independents. This may be a tossup, depending how far left or right they lean, but rest assured if they lean left, Tulsi gets their vote.
Bonus: She can debate. Kamala Harris ring a bell? Everyone agrees that it was Tulsi Gabbard that knocked Kamala off her throne as a top tier candidate. If I need to refresh your memory, enjoy the moment Kamala's campaign was burned to the ground...
So Why Won’t Democrats Use This Secret Weapon?
Simple! Tulsi Gabbard cannot be controlled by special interest groups, money, power and everything the establishment stands for and supports. They can’t control her. This was evident when she turned her back on the DNC in 2016 and backed Sanders.
It’s easier to control a Republican President through impeachment hearings, than it is to control the President of your own party. Especially when that President wants to clean up corruption in your party.
It’s not that the establishment doesn’t think she can win, it’s that they’re scared she will.
***UPDATE*** Since that 2nd to last paragraph was typed 8 hours ago, news has broke that the NY DNC Vice Chair ENDORSES TRUMP over Tulsi. Looks like I was correct. Sadly.
